About Our Client: Our client operates one of Birmingham’s premier venues for live events and exhibitions, offering state-of-the-art facilities and a diverse range of services. As part of a growing partnership, you’ll have the opportunity to shape the direction of the venue’s event production services and ensure it remains a top choice for clients in the live events and exhibitions sector. About You: You are an experienced leader with a deep understanding of the live events industry, technical AV systems, and team management. Your background includes building long-term relationships with clients, delivering exceptional service, and driving the operational success of large-scale events. You are a problem-solver, capable of providing innovative solutions while maintaining the highest standards of service and safety. Key Responsibilities: Lead, manage, and develop a talented team, providing guidance, support, and professional growth opportunities. Build and nurture long-term client relationships through exceptional service and technical delivery. Oversee technical solutions for live, virtual, and hybrid events. Collaborate with the venue’s sales team to ensure seamless client experiences from initial consultation to event delivery. Prepare detailed quotations, CAD drawings, and technical specifications. Manage all rigging and AV production within the venue’s conference suite. Ensure the maintenance and readiness of all event production equipment. Monitor and enforce Health & Safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment. Continually drive the development and improvement of services and team capabilities. Skills and Qualifications: Proven leadership experience in event production, technical AV support, and team management. Strong track record in building client relationships and delivering commercial results. Expertise in live event systems, hybrid event solutions, and venue operations. Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills. Experience in creating accurate costings, quotations, and CAD drawings. A hands-on approach to management and the ability to inspire a team. Solid understanding of Health & Safety regulations and best practices. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Evidence of successfully implementing service improvements in previous roles. A valid driving license and the ability to commute to Birmingham.
