Role Overview We have an exciting opportunity for a Social Media Executive specialising in Lifestyle/Specialist Sports. Within this role, you will be responsible for managing and enhancing Pro Direct’s online presence across various social media platforms. You will manage the content calendar to ensure the consistent posting, building and nurturing of relationships within our online community and you will be a channel expert across key social channels. What we need you to do as a Social Media Executive: Monitor comments, messages and interactions and build relationships with the online community. Address negative feedback or PR issues effectively and promptly. Liaise closely with the Producers and wider Production Team (Photography, Film etc) to ensure appropriate campaign content is deployed correctly and on time. Be flexible and work to the agreed rota to provide content support for key events and product launches. Understand the best practices of social media channels and hubs and work within Company policies, guidelines and Government legislation. Use insights to recommend new ideas and suggest innovative ways to interact with consumers and subsequently contribute to successful audience growth. Prepare reports for feedback and review. Utilise bank of assets, both supplied and created, to deliver engaging, relevant and exciting content. The assets used should be of excellent quality to ensure brand reputation is upheld. Apply Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) where appropriate and use relevant hashtags to increase interactions. Maintain an up-to-date and in-depth knowledge of all relevant products/sports/events and trends. Your skills as a Social Media Executive: Meticulous attention to detail and in-depth working knowledge of grammar, punctuation, syntax, tone etc. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English essential. Computing competence (use of MS Office, internet, email etc) Previous employment in a copywriting position (or similar role) and experience in proofing text in a fast-paced commercial environment. A basic working knowledge of sporting goods, e-Commerce and SEO. 2 A-levels or equivalent qualifications. Educated to degree level in a Language-related subject/ or a Certificate holder in Marketing or Communications (desirable). Naturally creative with an ability to think conceptually.
