Marshfield Primary is a large, thriving school on the outskirts of Newport. We are proud of our strong ethos and shared vision: ‘Together, caring, aspiring and achieving.’
We are looking to appoint two flexible, well-organised, creative, and enthusiastic teachers to join our dedicated and supportive team, all committed to providing the highest quality education for every child. These are permanent full-time teaching positions.
At Marshfield, pupil wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do. We foster a nurturing environment where children feel safe, happy, and able to thrive both emotionally and academically. We place high value on strong relationships, restorative practice, and a culture of kindness and care.

As a talented teacher joining our dedicated staff team, we have certain expectations for this role. The successful candidate will:
1. Be exciting and creative: We expect you to bring energy and creativity to your teaching, making learning irresistible for every child.
2. Have high expectations: You should be committed to helping every child achieve their full potential and be willing to go the extra mile to support their progress and development.
3. Prioritise wellbeing and care: We expect you to have a nurturing approach and a strong belief in the importance of children’s wellbeing as a foundation for learning.
4. Be a team player: Willing to contribute to the wider life of the school and collaborate with colleagues in a positive, supportive way.
5. Be an excellent communicator: Able to build strong relationships with children, families and colleagues.
6. Be positive and forward-looking: Solution-oriented and optimistic, always looking to contribute to whole school improvement.
7. Be reflective and keen to develop: Open to feedback and professional learning, committed to improving your practice and contributing to our shared school vision.
Here’s what we can provide you with:
1. An inclusive, warm, welcoming school with children who are happy and willing to learn
2. An enthusiastic and talented staff, who work well as a team and are committed to achieving the best for all our children
3. A committed and ambitious Senior Leadership Team and Governing Body who lead with compassion and value staff wellbeing
