Are you a skilled Legal Secretary looking for your next opportunity within residential conveyancing? Our client is seeking a dedicated Conveyancing Legal Secretary to join its Telford office. You will play a crucial role in supporting fee earners by providing comprehensive administrative assistance, helping to deliver exceptional client service.
About the Role:
As a Conveyancing Legal Secretary in the Residential Property team, your key responsibilities will include:
* Receiving and scanning post onto the firm’s systems
* Opening and closing client files
* Preparing client care documentation
* Ordering searches, including search packs and pre-exchange searches (e.g., OS1s, bankruptcy searches, Lawyer Checker)
* Regularly updating LMS/Lender Exchange
* Communicating with and updating agents
* Managing post-completion matters such as AP1s and SDLTs
* Handling exchange and completion letters
What They’re Looking For:
* A minimum of 2 years' office or administrative experience, preferably legal secretary experience in residential conveyancing
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
* Experience in audio typing (preferably legal) and handling client enquiries
* Excellent attention to detail, strong internal team collaboration and outstanding client care skills
