Advertisement Details The Housing Assistant (Repairs Service) will provide a clerical/administrative service to the Housing Service. The postholder reports to Repairs Manager, although the postholder will have to prioritise their own workload to meet conflicting deadlines. Specific tasks: Provide a full clerical service in support of all areas of the Repairs Service – typing, filing, photocopying, producing forms, dealing with incoming and outgoing mail, maintaining both manual and computerised filing systems. Processing payroll, sickness and leave documentation. Process orders and prepare invoices for payment. Providing a call handling and email monitoring service. Being first point of contact within the service for all repairs queries. Providing information and initial advice on repairs. Assessing repair requests and assigning repair priority. Often dealing with members of the public who may be emotional, abusive or irate. Making appointments for Repairs Operatives and assisting with scheduling of works. Liaising with sub-contractors when necessary. Maintenance of Housing Management Systems – logging and processing of housing repairs. Keying and monitoring of personnel information. Processing financial information for job costing. Processing insurance claims, ensuring all documentation is completed to strict deadlines.
