Wolves
Are you an experienced MSK Clinician who has a strong passion for providing outstanding patient care? Would you like to have the opportunity to grow and develop your skillset within an established team? If so, look no further than this exciting opportunity at Connect Health.
Open to Physiotherapists, Sports Therapists, Osteopaths, and Chiropractors, the Wolverhampton Integrated MSK Service (WIMS) is looking for a Senior MSK Clinician who values delivering high-quality clinical care for people with musculoskeletal conditions.
We’re looking for a well-organised individual to deliver quality clinical care for patients with musculoskeletal conditions. You’ll undertake comprehensive assessment and diagnosis of patients with a wide variety of MSK needs, formulate, deliver, review and progress individual treatment programmes, and ensure effective treatment, specialist advice, and timely discharge are achieved.
We are dedicated to delivering the highest level of patient care in the most efficient and cost-effective way, with re-investment to ensure services are sustainable. This role is suitable for an experienced clinician working at an advanced practice level.
We are committed to a multi-professional workforce based on competency and welcome applications from Physiotherapists, Osteopaths, Chiropractors, and Rehab Therapists. If you’re able to manage a varied caseload of MSK patients, committed to CPD, and have the desire to develop yourself and the service, with a keen eye on improving patient care, then we’d be keen to hear from you.
Our interview process consists of a video assessment following your application, then a traditional interview with the hiring team. This is competency-based and will seek to provide an opportunity for you to demonstrate working at a suitable level across the pillars of practice.
What will you be doing?
* Triage of referrals from GP’s directing the patient into the appropriate primary, secondary, or tertiary care service according to clinical presentation.
* Conduct comprehensive assessments, diagnosis, and management of patients that would have traditionally been referred into secondary care rheumatology services with non-inflammatory/persistent joint problems.
* Develop and implement individualised treatment plans, including pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions, to optimally manage patients' conditions.
* Provide speciality advice to requests from stakeholders across the pathway.
* Lead and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to coordinate care and ensure holistic treatment approaches.
* Hold professional relationships with external clinical stakeholders (such as secondary care consultants and GPs) to facilitate successful partnership working and the delivery and development of high-quality rheumatology care for patients across the system.
What you will bring to the role...
We’re looking for people that share our vision and values to join us on our journey first and foremost, but the ideal applicant might have the following:
* Previous experience in delivering musculoskeletal services with tangible results and commitment to providing excellent, personalised care.
* A deep understanding of the impact of Musculoskeletal pain in the wider community and how collaborative working across the local system enables prevention and addresses health inequalities.
* Current valid registration with your relevant professional body or equivalent regulator (HCPC, GOsC, SST or BASraT).
* Outstanding values that underpin clinical expertise and people management.
* Proven track record of influencing patients, people, commissioners, and pathways.
* Understanding, influencing, and driving quality of audits and the integration of EBP.
* Educational acuity in developing and providing specialist teaching in Musculoskeletal.
* Strong desire and drive to deliver innovation and lead on change.
* Experience of developing team members.
What you will benefit from...
Working within a dynamic group of clinicians and supporting service colleagues, you will learn from and with them and be proud when you inspire and develop others from your expertise too. Here are the added extras to our commitment to being a great place to work:
* Up to 30 days’ holiday (plus public holidays) and an extra day for your Birthday.
* A minimum of 5% of working time devoted to your personal development with an in-house Learning and Development Academy offering a wide range of career pathway development opportunities.
* Save pennies through accessing excellent discounts via our ‘Boost’ Benefits, access to health service discounts and a Blue Light Card.
* Access our employee assistance program, including virtual GP appointments, Mental Health First Aid, and Wellbeing Support.
* Sustainable Electric Car Scheme and Cycle to Work.
* Be reimbursed for professional membership fees that are a requirement of your role.
* Group life cover.
