We are currently recruiting on behalf of one of the UK’s leading providers of behavioural care and specialist support services for a RMN to join the team within a mental health hospital in Cheadle. The hospital offers a range of comprehensive inpatient mental health services for young people and adults. The focus of our service is to help people to live their best life in a safe and supportive environment.
We have vacancies for the following wards:
1. Specialist DBT Unit for personality disorders
As an RMN, you would be working alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team to provide excellent bespoke care to enable our patients to fulfil their recovery goals, working towards building a bright future after discharge for all service users within your care.
The duties of the role include but are not limited to:
1. Providing and supporting nursing care to the ward and acting as a named nurse for a defined group of patients.
2. Assessing, planning and delivering, with the patient and their carer/family, nursing care which takes account of patient needs, choices and wishes.
3. Accurately communicating with, observing and engaging with Service Users in order to assess need and evaluate progress.
4. Promotion of and adherence to the DBT model.
5. Understanding and participating in relevant quality improvement processes and clinical governance.
6. Providing accurate information about care in an accessible format to Service Users and their families.
7. Acting as the Nurse in charge of the Ward ensuring as far as reasonable and practicable a safe environment.
8. Maintaining good clinical records and team communication.
9. Supporting and contributing to MDT practice.
10. Adhering to codes of practice and national guidelines.
About You:
1. Active Registration with the NMC.
2. Knowledge of NMC standards guidelines, requests and professional practices.
3. Demonstrates a positive attitude and commitment to service improvement and quality.
4. Ability to develop and use flexible and innovative approaches to practice.
5. Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills, IT literate.
This is a permanent post – full OR part time and offers a salary of £36,291 to £38,716.08 FTE, plus:
