This role exists to support deliver IRL VM; ensuring we show up consistently across our retail estate. They are responsible for supporting the centralized VM team ensure all our stores represent our Gymshark DNA to the highest standard. This is a brand new role for the team, and will be the first field role in place to ensure all stores are cohesive and in line with the global VM strategy. This role will shape the future of VM across the world and will require experience in delivering training across multiple territories. This will be a hands-on role supporting and coaching the instore VM teams as well as aligning with the centralized VM team to deliver Brand vision. This role will be the key link between the Retail, Wholesale and Franchise store VM teams and the global VM team so clear communication as well as commercial acumen will be essential. The role will initially be UK based, with regular travel and may require international travel. ACCOUNTABLE FOR: Delivering the success of Gymsharks VM strategy across our retail estate Coaching store VM teams to ensure all our stores represent our Gymshark DNA to the highest standard Identifying training needs across Retail, Wholesale and Franchise VM teams. Creating VM training collateral in line with brand strategy. Collaborating with the global Training team to roll out VM training Onboarding in-store VM leads to ensure they are set up for success as we expand globally Review a train the trainer process to ensure every VM team member at a new store opening is equipped with the training and coaching required to build visual success and a positive team experience Ensure consistent communication with in-store VM teams, weekly store visits and/or zoom calls as appropriate based on travel requirements Deliver a detailed weekly update with photographs to the global Senior VM Manager to ensure full transparency of each store status identifying success and areas of opportunity Hands-on VM to support teams with any areas of opportunity and development, with an agile mentality to get stuck in Building strong relationships with the Global teams to obtain accurate information on our shop fits, product ranges, POS strategy, styling principles etc Championing DEI and ensuring Gymshark IRL is accessible & appropriate for all Keeping self & the IRL team up to date on new innovations in the VM space & ways of working Encouraging a culture of belonging that everyone wants to be part of ESSENTIAL SKILLS: Field VM experience with a solid understanding of the requirements needed to set stores up for success Highly skilled communicator, working closely with a variety of teams at different levels Experience in training and onboarding VM teams with VM best practises Commercial acumen & the ability to drive commercial success through VM practises Spatial awareness to understand customer flow and key areas of the store and solid understanding of how to translate a VM layout in the most effective way in an individual store space Detail orientated with high visual standards Experience in Visual Merchandising principles to identify key do’s and don’ts within retail Experience with new store openings across multiple territories & variety of formats Technical knowledge of VM [fitness, fashion & styling] & store layout planning Keeps up to date on latest trends, competitor activity & market awareness Experience in high culture environments Comfortable with giving and receiving constructive feedback & willing to challenge and be challenged Ability to travel & work across time zones where required Preferred Skills: Experience working with international teams and an understanding of different VM requirements globally across Retail, Wholesale and Franchise Experience in fitness apparel Adobe preferred – InDesign a bonus To comply with PCI-DSS standards (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards) which governs how we handle, store and access payment data, this position is subject to satisfactory results from necessary pre-employment checks, including a basic DBS check.
