Overview
Forest House is proud to remain one of the only truly independent practices in the area and we have been established for over 120 years. Our main hospital is located in beautiful Windsor and we have branch surgeries in Ascot and Egham, all with free parking.
We are seeking a dedicated RVN to join our team of 11 nurses in providing high-quality care to our clients and their beloved pets. The role will be based mainly at the Windsor hospital.
Many of our team have been with us for over 10 years, some more than 20! We are a friendly group who support each other both at work and outside work too.
Our nurses work a varied shift pattern and we believe in giving responsibility to ensure their role is enjoyable and fulfilling.
Hours
The rota will include the following shifts across a week and include one hour for lunch unless otherwise specified:
1. Dispense – 8.15am to 6pm (1.5 hours lunch)
2. Theatre – 8am to 5pm
3. 2nd Ops – 8am to 5.15pm
4. Kennels – 9.30am to 6.30pm
5. Recovery – 7.30am to 4.30pm
6. Night Duty – 4pm to 10am
7. Weekend – 8am to 8am
Nurses working night duties or weekends are provided with a duty room and can go to bed but they may still be required to give medication or attend to cases during the night.
When working a Saturday, the nurse will work the Wednesday night duty, finish at 10am Thursday morning, and also have Friday off.
When working a Sunday, the nurse will be off at 8am Monday morning, work as usual Tuesday and Wednesday, work the Thursday night duty, and finish at 10am Friday morning.
Between 9pm and 8am Monday to Friday and 5pm and 8am at the weekends our phones divert to our Out of Hours partner.
Some bank holiday work may be required but time will be given off in lieu.
