About the role:
Are you passionate about supporting young learners to reach their full potential? A vibrant and inclusive non-denominational community school in Colindale, London, is seeking an enthusiastic Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant to join our team in January 2025. As a Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a key role in delivering targeted interventions and boosters to small groups or individual students. You’ll support children with diverse needs, including those with special educational needs (SEN), ensuring every child feels valued and has the opportunity to thrive academically and socially.
Application Requirements:
• Have experience working with primary-aged children, especially in Key Stage 2.
• Are skilled in delivering small-group interventions or one-on-one support.
• Have a positive and patient approach to working with children.
• Are passionate about creating an inclusive learning environment.
• Hold a relevant Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (preferred but not essential).
Key Responsibilities:
• Supporting students in achieving their learning targets through interventions and boosters.
• Assisting with classroom activities to enhance engagement and understanding.
• Working closely with teachers to deliver tailored support for SEN pupils.
• Encouraging and fostering a love for learning in every child.
• Creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment.
