Learning Mentor Location: Northampton Pay: £84 - £100 Start date: Monday 4th November Working hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm Monday - Friday, FULL TIME A large secondary school on the outskirts of Northampton is looking for dynamic Learning Mentor to work within their special needs unit. This school boasts a large building with outstanding facilities, as well as a dedicated team of staff. They received 'Good' in their most recent Ofsted, and they have come on leaps and bounds over the years. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for working with young people and a commitment to raising standards of learning. This role will involve supporting children with challenging behaviour who have been removed from the classroom. The successful candidate will be confident with managing challenging behaviour and have an adaptable approach. To be successful you must have previous or transferable experience of working with young people. For the right candidate this could lead to a permanent position. This role will be term time only and candidates must have relevant experience and employment references to offer us. Experience in an alternative provision, SEMH school or residential setting where challenging behaviours have been dealt with, is also desirable.
