An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Breast Care Nursing Team of Breast Test Wales which is part of the Screening Division of Public Health Wales. We are recruiting a Breast Care Nurse to work within the South West Wales team based in our Swansea Centre. Main duties of the job You will be responsible for the care and support of women who have been recalled for assessment following their routine screening mammogram. You will be expected to provide psychological support, evidence-based information and advice to women diagnosed with breast cancer and breast disease, thereby assisting them in making informed decisions regarding treatment options. You should be committed to positive team building, delivering a high-quality service and have oncology or breast screening experience and the principles and practice of breast cancer nursing qualification, or a willingness to undertake study to acquire. Excellent communication skills are essential, with evidence of recent and continuing professional development. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
