Maintenance Assistant
Required to work at a retirement village in Stoke Gifford.
1. To carry out user tests, cyclical, preventive and repairs maintenance, and arrange access for contractors to carry out maintenance.
2. Carry out a handy-person service, as directed by the Cluster Manager, including tasks from picture hanging to assembling flat pack furniture.
3. Undertake preventive maintenance duties in the apartments and in the communal areas.
4. Be proactive in the management of void properties, ensuring water quality checks and general repairs are undertaken.
5. Work with contractors on site to improve knowledge of systems and to ensure compliance with risk assessments provided.
6. Record repair requests and defects.
Qualifications
Qualifications that will help candidates include City & Guilds, BTECs, and NVQs. Courses in health and safety, plumbing, plastering, carpentry, and general maintenance are very useful.
Numeracy, literacy, and computer skills are essential.
