The Company
Our client is an exciting and growing Consumer Goods business, based in South-Birmingham. Part of a global function, this company is on an upward trajectory and currently sells its products internationally, into over eighty international locations.
The Role
* As the Inventory Manager, you will lead the UK based inventory team, with key responsibility for the demand planning, reporting and inventory management.
* Ensuring forecast accuracy, you will also hold responsibility for purchasing and reporting within UK and European Wholesalers.
* Develop and implement inventory control procedures and best practice across warehouses, to ensure stock levels are inline with required targets.
* Record accurate inventory information to supply customers and stock control all live inventory for 2 separate warehouses, within the UK and Europe.
* Use an inventory module added to the ERP to review stock outs and short dated stock (OTIF).
* Hold inventory meetings to share an overview of the general inventory and any potential issues, and also review demand on a bi-weekly basis for the UK and EU.
* Work with the Sales team on inventory focused analysis to help drive sales and optimise inventory.
* Create and share a 12 month rolling forecast for all key suppliers.
The Candidate
* Will have a strong demand planning background, with experience in inventory management and logistics.
* Exposure to working with ERP systems such as Sage Inventory Manager or Accumatica.
* Experience managing a small team would be beneficial.
* Will be familiar with customs processes and political change to import and export.
* A competent user of Excel, conversant with VLookUps and Pivot Tables.
* Exposure to the manufacturing of food or FMCG products would be beneficial.
* Will be comfortable with a hybrid working model, with 3 office days (South-Birmingham) and 2 work from home days per week (flexibility needed).
