Qualifications To thrive as a Solution Architect, you should have: A solid background in technical leadership, especially in application, business, and integration architectures. Expertise in at least one key area, whether that's a specific architecture domain, business domain (like CRM or eCommerce), sector, or technology. Experience evaluating different solution options, including product selection and analysis of best practices. The ability to create strategic roadmaps and provide thought leadership in your field. Familiarity with architecture modeling tools and frameworks like UML and ArchiMate. A strong grasp of both the technical and business sides of your work.
