The Opportunity
We are looking for an Associate Project Manager and Business Analyst to join the Business Change function of our Toxicology business. The Business Change function is responsible for overseeing and managing the change portfolio and projects across the Toxicology UK business via a long-term program of change. This position is based in our Toxicology site in Abingdon (Oxfordshire).
Change management is growing in importance within Toxicology UK, and this role has the potential to grow with it. As such, it would suit an enthusiastic Associate Project Manager & Business Analyst, with aspirations to help an organization move its change delivery maturity to the next level.
Please note, the PM and BA aspects of this role are both important, and we seek candidates with experience of both.
What You'll Do
As an Associate Project Manager and Business Analyst you will support the delivery of a range of change projects, of varying size and complexity, as well as elements of the PMO function. More specifically:
* Evaluating change requests
* Initiating projects, setting up appropriate governance structures, and then managing them to completion
* Work with business and technology stakeholders to document, review and edit requirements, specifications, business processes, business cases and recommendations related to proposed solutions.
* Stakeholder management
* Working with internal and external partners to deliver projects and solutions
* Manage and conduct the testing process, including gathering end user feedback
* Complete Systems Lifecycle documentation
This is a hands-on role, which will suit a self-starter. The Business Systems team is fairly small, so in this role you will be involved in a range of business areas.
Required Qualifications / Profile
* Bachelor's degree in Business Management/Data Analysis or relevant field
* Experience of having managed small projects or workstreams of larger ones
* Business analysis experience
* Experience of working with a PMO
* Able to work within a quality management system.
* Testing management experience.
* Structured SLC background
* Demonstrated ability to set and meet tight deadlines and function well under pressure.
* Stakeholder management
* User focused, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong problem-solving skills.
* Knowledge or certification in one or more of the following would be advantageous: Prince2, PMI, P30, PMP, PfMP, MSP
* Knowledge of a change management model, such as Lewin or Prosci would be advantageous
