The Role: Proposition Executive
M&G Life is a division of M&G plc and runs the Prudential Assurance Company, responsible for the manufacture and review of all insurance products including our legacy back book and life and pension products open for new business within the UK retail market.
The successful candidate will report into the Head of PruFund Proposition within the Product and Proposition Team in M&G Life and support the risk management, governance and ongoing management and development of the PruFund proposition within ILP.
The role will provide support in terms of the day-to-day management of the PruFund proposition as well as supporting on Proposition Development initiatives. Knowledge of PruFund would be useful, but the desire and ability to build knowledge to develop into an SME is as important. This role may suit those looking to develop their career in Product/Proposition Management and/or expanding their knowledge of PruFund.
Key Responsibilities for this role:
* Support the effective risk and governance oversight of propositions by gathering data and evidence to aid the Proposition Manager and Head of Proposition in making objective assessments of their performance and suitability across the end-to-end value chain (Price, Service, Performance etc), considering if the proposition is performing against agreed tests of customers' fair value, product, risk and plan performance expectations and identifying and implementing improvement actions as appropriate.
* Support and get involved in the effective development and delivery of the proposition strategy, including analysis of risk. Maintain a close understanding of the competitive market, the need for new initiatives and enhancement of existing offerings, underpinned by relevant business trends, regulatory standards and market insights, delivered through efficient and secure change management implementation.
* As a key proposition SME, act as an effective communicator and proposition champion, able to convey the value of the propositions internally with cross-functional teams.
* Development and maintenance of timely and accurate reporting, for use in forums including through the relevant management committees, Supervisory Boards and Accountable Persons.
* Analysis and maintenance of key product information enabling a robust and comprehensive data set available for ongoing reviews of the proposition, communication within the business and to specific external stakeholders where appropriate.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
* Strong analytical skills - demonstrable experience of being able to interpret data and identify areas of opportunity, risk and threat in the internal and market environment.
* Customer focus - proven ability to evidence seeing things through the eyes of the customer and translating this into our matrix management structure.
* Knowledge of the financial advised insurance market - understanding how advisers place business and engage with proposition and the technical, regulatory, financial and risk framework within which business and product must operate.
* Delivery focused - able to demonstrate they understand how value is generated through the value chain.
* Good communicator - able to work collaboratively across the internal teams.
* Innovative - able to make recommendations and articulate ideas that bring a difference to the proposition set.
