Job Summary: As an Accounts Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing a portfolio of clients, overseeing a range of financial services, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional accounting solutions. Your responsibilities will include handling day-to-day client requests, supporting business development, and providing leadership to a team of Accounts Assistants.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Client Portfolio Management: Manage a portfolio of clients, offering a comprehensive suite of services, including annual accounts, self-assessment tax, corporation tax, VAT, bookkeeping, and other specialized areas of work.
2. Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients, ensuring their satisfaction and understanding of our services.
3. Team Oversight and Support: Oversee the work of Accounts Assistants, providing necessary support and training to ensure the team's efficiency and effectiveness.
4. Proactive Client Support: Proactively support clients with their accounting and tax planning needs, offering strategic advice to optimize their financial performance.
5. Timely Solution Delivery: Ensure the timely and successful delivery of accounting solutions, meeting customer needs and objectives.
6. Accounts Reporting: Produce and prepare regular account updates for clients and management, communicating financial insights and recommendations.
7. Quality Assurance: Review work completed by team members, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and effectively communicate with clients to ensure understanding of their business's financial performance and obligations.
8. Monitoring and Analysis: Successfully monitor clients' management accounts, explaining any variances and identifying planning opportunities to enhance financial outcomes.

* Proven experience in a similar role within an accountancy practice.
* Strong understanding of financial services, including annual accounts, tax, VAT, and bookkeeping.
