About the role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will:
* Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans in the absence of teaching staff.
* Manage classroom behavior and ensure a safe, productive learning environment.
* Support students in their educational journey, maintaining high standards of engagement and discipline.
* Work collaboratively with teaching staff and the wider school team.
This is a flexible role, with both full-time and part-time opportunities available, allowing you to fit work around your commitments.
We welcome applications from candidates with:
* Experience working with young people in any capacity (e.g., teaching assistant, coaching, youth work).
* Strong communication and leadership skills.
* A positive attitude and ability to adapt to varying classroom dynamics.
* A commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
No formal teaching qualifications are required; however, prior experience in education or a related field is an advantage.

Requirements
To be considered for the role of Cover Supervisor you will:
* Have previous experience working in a secondary school setting, ideally as a cover supervisor, teaching assistant, or similar role.
* Be confident managing classrooms and engaging with students aged 11–16.
* Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Be flexible, reliable, and adaptable to different school environments.
* Ability to obtain suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK (ABC Teachers do not offer sponsorship)
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
* Have previous experience working in a secondary school setting, ideally as a cover supervisor, teaching assistant, or similar role.
