Great Bay Community College is seeking qualified applicants interested in adjunct teaching at the College on a course-by-course basis; strong academic background is required.
Semester: Fall semester
Adjunct Faculty: Homeland Security & Emergency Management
The instructor will be responsible for helping to prepare and teach either an eight-week course on introduction to emergency management or terrorism and political extremism. This position is for in-person courses only — the instructor must be able to teach on campus. Students in the Homeland Security and Emergency Management Program must complete an internship; therefore, the instructor must have extensive connections in the New Hampshire emergency management field.

Adjunct appointments are temporary, for a specified contract period, and may require in-classroom or online instruction.
The compensation rate is $800-$950 per contact hour [or $47.95 - $59.45 per clinical rate per hour if applicable]. Compensation will be determined based on the appointed adjunct faculty rank based on education, industry, and/or teaching experience.
The minimum qualifications for the position are as follows:
Education: Master’s degree from a recognized college or university majoring in criminal justice or a similar field. A terminal degree is preferred.
Experience: Six (6) years of professional experience in the homeland security and emergency management field with a history of progressive responsibility. Experience teaching and developing college-level courses is preferred.
