Senior Quantity Surveyor - required for our client to join their well-established team near to Sidcup. Our client are specialists within the Civil Engineering industry and provide minor works on Railway, Infrastructure, Highways and Civil works. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be working for a company are looking at nearly doubling their Turnover in the next year to £30m and this will be a key role in enabling them to get to this point.
The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be ideally for a similar family size business that is used to working on multiple varied, fast paced projects. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will have at least 5 years' experience and be highly motivated and keen to progress within a company that is growing. Experience within Change management and working on packages as well as NXC and JCT type contracts as well as ability to run projects up to £500,000 is required.
Senior Quantity Surveyor Position Remuneration
1. Salary up to £70K
2. 5% Pension contribution 4% employee
3. Discretionary Bonus up to 15%
4. Car allowance - £6000
5. Fuel card
6. Holidays - 28 days which includes Bank Holidays rising to 33

Senior Quantity Surveyor Position Overview
8. Provide commercial management on Projects and deliver tender margin-plus with effective cost and value management
9. Commercial management of Reactive and Planned Maintenance contracts within the Rail industry
10. Responsible for all commercial and contractual matters on multiple project
11. Assist Estimating and Operations with developing bid submissions
12. Forecasting and cost/value reporting
13. Supplier/Sub-contract identification and tendering
14. Procurement of resources to meet programme and ideally tender.
15. Supply chain management and payment to ensure programme is maintained and buying opportunities are maximised.
16. Manage, develop and mentor junior members of the team
Senior Quantity Surveyor Position Requirements
17. Higher level (HNC or Degree) qualification in Quantity Surveying
18. At least 5 +years commercial experience with ideally involvement in infrastructure projects in the construction industry, ideally in Rail and highways
19. Have functional/technical skills associated with the field of Quantity Surveying
20. NEC and JCT knowledge
21. Cost management and change management experience
22. A team player, operating cooperatively and effectively with others to set goals,
23. Problem solver, and ability to make decisions that enhance organisational effectiveness
24. Holds a full UK driving licence
