Course contents
* Service Delivery: Delivers excellent customer service on a range of HR queries and requirements, providing solutions, advice and support primarily to managers. Builds managers’ expertise in HR matters, improving their ability to handle repeated situations themselves where appropriate. Uses agreed systems and processes to deliver service to customers. Takes the initiative to meet agreed individual and team KPIs in line with company policy, values, standards. Plans and organises their work, often without direct supervision, to meet commitments and KPIs.
* Problem Solving: Uses sound questioning and active listening skills to understand requirements and establish root causes before developing HR solutions. Takes ownership through to resolution, escalating complex situations as appropriate.
* Communication & Interpersonal: Deals effectively with customers/colleagues, using sound interpersonal skills and communicating well through a range of media eg phone, face to face, email, internet. Adapts their style to their audience. Builds trust and sound relationships with customers. Handles conflict and sensitive HR situations professionally and confidentially.

Your training plan
Apprentices will typically attend York College on a day release (half day of lessons and half day of self-directed study) for the first 15 months of this apprenticeship programme. This will be followed by support and preparation for End Point Assessment (EPA). Apprentices have 3 months to complete their EPA
During their time in College, apprentices will work towards developing their knowledge, skills and behaviours, and at work will consolidate their on-programme learning with the support of their employer. An assessor/reviewer will visit the workplace every 8-10 weeks to discuss and monitor progress on the apprenticeship in conjunction with the employer.

Other requirements
The role will be office-based, working with the HR and wider Nimbuscare teams, at our Head Office on Holgate Park Drive, York. The expectation will be to be fully office based through the apprenticeship, working and learning from the team. The expectation to travel to other sites is unlikely, but due to our wider workforce working across multiple clinical sites, there may be the odd times when this may be required. Any time and cost will be reimbursed and organised to not impact individuals. The working hours are 9:00am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday, our wider workforce is 24/7. Some flexibility may be needed around the start and end time on very rare occasions, however, there would be no expectation to work significantly different hours or weekends.
