Role description: To ensure the mechanical repair, installation and planned maintenance of the factory services and equipment. Ensure equipment is available and functionable when required. Respond to issues as and when they happen, supporting a 24hr, 7day a week process you will work closely with operations teams and different departments to maximise performance. This role has the opportunity for leadership development, including internal training and externally accredited programmes to support your performance and career progression. Responsibilities: Delegate work to employees so that all work is carried out effectively. Provide hands on maintenance and repair experience, technical support and supervision to the team. Plan and record maintenance work, schedules, breakdowns and overtime worked in order to provide an accurate reference point. Hold the title of Deputy Responsible Person with regards to the control of Legionella. Liaise with site Facilities Planning Engineer to ensure compliance in all areas. Arrange and manage contractor works. Plan, organise and manage site projects from start to completion, ensuring they come in on time and on budget. Ordering of parts and management of critical spares. Respond effectively to any employee queries and provide assistance when required in order to maintain efficiency of operation. Minimise downtime by implementation of preventative maintenance schedules. Required skills / qualifications: Minimum 5 years’ experience of a manufacturing environment within engineering. Experience of modern Mechanical systems & techniques. Experience of Microsoft suite and SAP, advantageous. Experience of working with LSS Tools, advantageous. Proactive, Motivator that can take responsibility. Ability to promote change and continuous improvement.
