Job overview
We have an exciting opportunity to join us as Primary Care Vaccination Programme Manager (Central Norfolk) within the Patients and Communities Directorate.
This is a vital post working with the Vaccination Team providing guidance and support to Primary Care and other providers to deliver key local and national priorities across all Vaccination Services.
You will support the development of high-quality Immunisation and Vaccination services across Norfolk & Waveney, and act as the Operational Lead for the Primary Care Local Vaccination Service element of the COVID-19 vaccination programme along with other programmes that may be announced. You will have skills in leading and coordinating the response across all Central Norfolk Primary Care Networks (PCNs), for operational mobilisation and implementation of the programme.
You will also use mobilisation, implementation, and resilience skills in supporting local programmes of work across the Places of Norwich, North Norfolk, and South Norfolk. The work you undertake will be varied, often fast-paced and you will need to thrive working in an agile and flexible way, being able to offer a proactive approach and can-do adaptive nature to your work is essential.
Main duties of the job
1. The post holder will support the development of high quality Immunisation and Vaccination services across Norfolk & Waveney ICB in conjunction with the Locality Teams.
2. Leading and co-ordinating the response across all Primary Care Network (PCN), Local Vaccination Sites (LVS), Hospital Hubs (HH) and Community Pharmacies (CP) for operational implementation of the programme.
3. The post holder has significant autonomy to undertake this role, working within organisational and professional policies and procedures and with the Senior Vaccination Programme Manager and the wider team to ensure that their workstream of programmes are planned and managed effectively and take the lead in assisting in their successful delivery.
4. Work with the Vaccination Team to respond to any queries and offer support as and when needed to ensure vaccination programmes run smoothly including deliveries for vaccines and supplies.
5. Respond to all requests concerning the vaccination programme and complaints from patients, public, providers and MPs.
6. Work with Place colleagues across the communities of Norwich, North and South to support with the mobilisation of initiatives which strengthen local relationships and arrangements.
7. Identify opportunities to work with local providers and partnerships, to support integrated ways of working, taking a making every contact count approach.
