We are recruiting to a full-time experienced Catering Supervisor/Cook at Queen Victoria Memorial Hospital,Herne Bay salary in this role will start at £24,071 per annum which equates to £ per hourHours worked at the weekend and Bank Holidays will attract an enhanced hourly pay of our benefits include:o 27 days annual leave plus bank holidays. Your annual leave entitlement increases with length of Automatic enrolment into the NHS Pension scheme (opt out available)o Access to NHS discounts and access to Blue Light card discountsYou will be working alternate weekends and rostered Bank times are hours per day ranging between a 7am start to a 6pm finishSupervision and Catering knowledge and experience is required. A full induction andtraining programme will be applied at the start of your journey with us.

Main duties of the job
This is primarily a hands-on Catering Supervision role where you will work alongside and with your teamproviding support and guidance to deliver excellent and safe patient will learn all the back-ground skills and knowledge to enable you to complete the full role within NHSrequirements, food preparation, cooking, allergens and other dietary requirements, completion of HACCPpaperwork, equipment training and waste will learn our IT systems to produce rosters, complete appraisal processes and staff 1:1's.

1. NVQ Level 3 in catering or equivalent ( BTEC diplomas, Certificates and Awards, International Baccalaureate diploma) or equivalent demonstrable experience

2. Level 3 food hygiene qualification Level 3 HACCP qualification Level 1 qualification or equivalent in cleaning and support services

3. Previous experience of working in a catering environment. Previous staff supervision experience. Previous experience of using Microsoft Software packages Outlook, Word and Excel. Good Organisational skills. Drive and enthusiasm. Pleasant and helpful disposition. Able to work alone or as part of a team. To be able to work under pressure in an unpredictable environment. Ability to manage and motivate people. Ability to present information well both in writing and verbally.
