About The Role
Role: Financial Systems Analyst (18 Months Fixed Term)
Location: Chorley
Contract: Full time (36.25 hours per week) / Fixed Term Contract (18 months)
Salary: £28,624 - £30,060
Closing Date: 19 January 2025
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic person to support the financial systems across South Ribble and Chorley Councils. This is a fantastic opportunity to be a part of the ambitious changes taking place in the Councils to improve and modernise the service.
You will form part of the financial systems team, responsible to the Senior Financial Systems & Project Accountant - supporting day to day finance activities, driving change and delivering key finance projects to support the service.
What you’ll be getting up to
* Coordinating interfaces between financial systems
* Troubleshooting issues and following through to resolution
* User setup and maintenance
* Software testing/ upgrades
* Master data setup (Cost centers, GL’s, Detail Codes)
* User training and support
* Project support
Who we’re looking for
* Experience of working in a Finance or ICT environment.
* Experience of system housekeeping routines and their application.
* Experience of troubleshooting system related issues such as interface issues.
* Experience of communicating with internal or external customers.
* Excellent ICT skills (Experience of a financial/ERP system inc Microsoft Office)
