Position Overview:
OES Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Scoreboards Quality Technician to join our Scoreboards Manufacturing team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring our scoreboards meet the highest quality standards, industry regulations, and customer requirements. This position involves inspecting products, implementing quality control processes, and collaborating with various teams to drive improvements.

Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct regular quality assessments on materials and products for shipping.
* Inspect and approve shipments from powder coating vendors.
* Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards.
* Create and maintain quality control documentation (e.g., work instructions, SOPs).
* Implement solutions to address product defects and low productivity.
* Collaborate with the team to improve manufacturing processes and reduce material handling.
* Conduct time and motion studies to improve production efficiency.
* Perform root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) on quality issues.
* Assist in developing training programs for assembly skills.
* Ensure compliance with safety guidelines and participate in internal audits.
* Report risks, opportunities, and recommendations to management.
* Provide back-up support for production and shipping as needed.
Qualifications:
* Post-secondary education in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Quality, or Manufacturing is an asset.
* 3-4 years of experience in a Manufacturing Engineering Technologist role or related quality control field, with a focus on Lean Manufacturing.
* Strong understanding of production processes and electrical/electronics principles.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ERP systems.
* Leadership and team-building skills.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage competing deadlines, and work flexible hours as needed.
* Knowledge of the OH&S Act, WHMIS regulations, and ISO 9000 quality standards.
