Lanka Kade is a small family-run business established in 1994, based in Market Harborough, south Leicestershire, on the borders of Northamptonshire and Warwickshire. Our modern headquarters incorporate a large new office, showroom, and 12,000 sq. foot warehouse. Passionate about ethical and sustainable trade, Lanka Kade specialises in the design, manufacture, and wholesale of quality wooden toys suitable for children aged from birth up to 8 years.
Our small, talented team work together closely to cover every aspect of our business: sourcing and training Sri Lankan artisans, designing original products and packaging, creating catalogues, website development, SEO, digital marketing, import/export, sales, credit control, customer service, and much more.
We are looking for a highly motivated and creative individual to take on all aspects of our marketing. Working closely with senior management, you will make optimal use of our fun product range, unique story and huge image bank to build awareness of our brand in B2C and B2B channels.
The successful candidate will have:
* Marketing degree qualification and/or proven experience in relevant field
* Passion for product, sales, and marketing
* Focus and determination to achieve results
* Proficiency in relevant media software including Adobe Creative Suite
* Experience in crafting compelling content
* Proven command of English language to create engaging copy
* Ability to independently research, plan, and present ideas
* Strong organisation and communication skills
* Positive approach to problem-solving with a can-do attitude
Beneficial but not essential:
* Awareness of fair trade and sustainability
* Sales experience
* Clean UK driving licence
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and execute a marketing strategy to grow audience engagement and drive business growth and brand awareness across all channels including B2B and B2C audiences.
* Manage and grow company social media accounts, ensuring consistent brand messaging, content creation, and audience engagement across platforms.
* Create compelling content including blog posts, social media updates, email campaigns, marketing materials, and website content.
* Design marketing materials for both digital and print, such as brochures, flyers, and banners, using Adobe software, Canva, or similar programmes
* Monitor and analyse social media trends, engagement metrics, and performance analytics to optimise future marketing strategies.
* Build and maintain close working relationships with brand representatives to drive online engagement and expand digital resources
* Manage the marketing budget, ensuring cost-efficiency and optimal ROI.
* Plan and execute promotional campaigns to enhance brand visibility in to both B2B and B2C audiences.
* Attend major national and international events, requiring occasional weekend working and unsociable hours.
