Part Time Cyber Technical Service Delivery Manager
Role Overview
Chorus provides best-in-class, Microsoft verified Managed Extended Detection & Response (MXDR) services to our customers, through our 24/7/365 UK based Cyber Security Operations Center (CSOC), using the Microsoft toolset.
If you have a passion for cyber security and enjoy building strong relationships with customers, you might be the Technical Service Delivery Manager we are looking for. You will help our customers improve their security posture, get the most out of our services, and simplify the complex.
The ideal candidate would have experience in cyber security operations, fantastic people skills, and the desire to learn and help us continually improve our services both technically and operationally.
Responsibilities
The core responsibilities for this role are:
1. Own the operational relationships with our customers. You will maintain regular communication with customers and provide them with updates and feedback on service delivery.
2. Investigate and respond to issues resulting in security incidents, security reports, and customer complaints. Ensure follow-up actions are implemented to prevent recurrence.
3. Assist the operational teams in fixing issues that arise during the operation of services.
4. Act as the customer advocate, ensuring their needs and expectations are met.
5. Identify and implement technical improvements to our services, with the assistance of our engineering team.
6. Act as a subject matter expert (SME) to customers to improve the quality of service they are receiving.
7. Assist with all aspects of customer reporting – covering; SLA attainment, response times, technical detail of investigations, previous incident trends, threat intelligence, data ingestion billing, and vulnerability management, etc.
8. Assist with the onboarding of new customers, building an understanding of new customer businesses and their associated risks, and providing assistance and support during early-life.
9. Create technical documentation to assist the team in their day-to-day work.
10. Assist sales team in successful renewals of CSOC contracts with existing customers.
Desirables
It would be desirable, but not essential, to have any of the following:
1. Good understanding of how SOCs operate and how to use SIEM/SOAR platforms to detect and respond to cyber incidents.
2. Up-to-date knowledge and curiosity in the latest threats, threat actors, and vulnerabilities.
3. Experience and technical knowledge in Microsoft security, especially Azure, Microsoft Sentinel, and Microsoft Defender XDR.
4. Understanding of the MITRE ATT&CK framework or other security frameworks, and knowledge of common regulatory compliance standards, such as ISO27001, and Cyber Essentials+.
5. Certification in Microsoft Security, or equivalent work experience.
