Job Purpose
You’ll objectively validate and consolidate all of the identified risks for the Bioresource asset base into a single location; to a standardised quality and format, so that decisions regarding the prioritisation of responses to these risks can be taken with confidence, and developed into the Risk Management Plans by the Risk Managers.
You’ll coordinate the collation of risks to service and provide the governance to validate the quality of the evidence supporting these risks.
Job Accountabilities
* Owning, developing and maintaining the Risk Register for the Bioresource asset base, liaising with colleagues from across the business areas to drive consistent ways of capturing and quantifying risks.
* Proactively identifying risks by interrogating corporate data sources and performance information and validating this with observed data captured by the Drainage Performance Teams.
* Providing governance for the Tier 1, 2 and 3 meetings measuring compliance with the WRAP framework, ensuring all possible risk mitigation responses have been considered.
* Supporting the Risk Manager with analysis on risk trends, making recommendations on levels of risk, providing data on escalated risks for the Tier 3 meetings and the area leadership teams as necessary.
* Ensuring that risks identified through other processes have been appropriately scrutinised and validated before promoting on the Risk Register.
* Contributing to the development of strategies and methodologies.
* Providing governance for the risks identified through the methodologies ensuring compliance with the process.
* Ensuring reliable, accurate and complete asset inventory data including appropriate and timely registration and de-registration of assets.
* Supporting the Risk Manager in developing and monitoring whole life costs of assets, which have had investment in order to validate the whole cost forecasts and to lay the foundations for benefit realisation through the Asset Lifecycle.
* Demonstrating compliance with the Wholesale Risk and Asset Planning process by updating the status of risks in the Risk Register.
* Representing the Risk Manager at meetings with Stakeholders as necessary.
Knowledge and Skills
To be considered for this role you’ll have the relevant educational qualifications, normally a degree in a numerate or technical discipline together with good data analysis, coordination and planning skills having a methodical mind-set and attention to detail. You’ll also have:
* Excellent communication skills to liaise with a wide range of stakeholders championing compliance with the Wholesale Risk and Asset Planning framework.
* Computer literate and familiar with common computer software packages such as Excel and PowerPoint.
* Excellent skills manipulating large datasets using Excel, GIS and other databases.
* Experience of developing dashboards would also be advantageous.
* A valid full UK driving licence.
* Technical knowledge of wastewater and sludge treatment processes.
