SEN Teaching Assistant – Chorley, Lancashire. Are you currently looking for a new role within education? Do you have experience working with students between the ages of 4-11 years? If so, Teaching Personnel are currently working with an Ofsted graded good school based in the Chorley area that are actively looking for a new SEN Teaching Assistant, assisting students that struggle controlling behaviour within a classroom setting. The successful applicant will be working closely with a KS2 student within a mainstream classroom setting and be familiar with appropriate safeguarding requirements. Prior experience working with SEN students and transferable skills would be highly beneficial, but not essential. Role Requirements: 1:1 Work with students struggling with their behaviour management Pastoral intervention with both SEN and SEMH students Building a behaviour support plan with the school SENCO. Safeguarding experience within a school setting. Experience of the KS2 curriculum and phonics schemes. You will be working within a passionate faculty who are focused on the development of SEN students, alongside working closely with the school SENCO and HLTAs to gain a better understanding on the students’ requirements. About the role: PAYE rates of £12.84 - £13.50 per hour. Weekly pay through school timesheets. Located in the PR7 area of Chorley. Full time – Monday to Friday.
