Field Service Team Leader required for a high-end, service-based business in the horticulture sector This is an exciting time to join a great company who are enjoying a period of sustained growth. Although the business is rapidly expanding and now cover most of the UK, this role will cover the North/East side of London only. This is a hybrid role with HQ based in Essex (near Bishop’s Stortford), with time also spent at client sites across North/East Central London and from home when suitable. Managing a team of 16 Service Technicians, this will involve working with the management team and planners to ensure an exceptional customer experience within service maintenance visits. This includes: - Full responsibility for managing a team of service technicians to ensure the team delivers a high level of customer service hitting agreed NPS and KPI targets. - Work with the Field Service Planner and Regional Service Manager to ensure that the team are operating efficiently and effectively. - Work with the team and Field Service Planner to find creative, fast, and efficient solutions to customer challenges. - Supervise, identify, and suggest improvements to plant maintenance processes to improve quality and efficiency. - Work with the troubleshooter and technician team when required onsite at clients. - Maintain and manage wholesale plant supply in emergencies (when the technician/ troubleshooter is unable to). - Assist with site audits as and when required. - Assist team with fleet management. The successful candidate will need: - To be based on the North / East side of London due to HQ location (including Herts & Essex). - Have experience in remote management. - Excellent people management skills and very comfortable monitoring and improving team performance - leads by example - Driving licence. - Excellent communication skills & a pro-active "can-do" attitude. - Commercially minded and capable of providing input to and finding resolutions for daily challenges whether this relates to their team or clients. - Strong organisational & planning abilities. - Strong data analysis skills and converting this into positive action. - Able to work under pressure and within required timescales. - Demonstrate our core values along with the drive to support our business goals and outstanding customer satisfaction. - Experience working with B2B corporate clients. - Experience of supervising good health & safety practices and role modelling commitment to high health & safety standards. - Good horticultural knowledge is desirable but training will be provided. Further details due to the remote nature of the role: - Vehicle, laptop, phone all provided. - Due to early starting times for technicians, you must be comfortable being contactable from 5am (Mon-Fri). - This role will require practical work from time to time so candidates must be physically fit to complete these tasks. - Successful candidates may need to apply for relevant DBS checks and complete security vetting procedures for some clients. - Travel costs will be fully covered. - Training: Induction training, H&S induction training, IOSH Managing Safely training, Horticultural training, Management development training.
