Radiology Department Assistant | Private Hospital | Competitive Salary | Part-time – 22.5 hours per week | Havant, Hampshire
Spire Portsmouth Hospital is looking for a Radiology Department Assistant to join our busy department on a part-time permanent basis. The successful applicant will assist the multi-disciplinary team to provide exemplary patient care and examination.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Care for patients, carers, visitors, and relatives during their visit to the Department.
2. Act as chaperone in line with policy.
3. Help with the movement of patients in the examination rooms.
4. Use the Radiology information system (RIS) to record the patients' Radiology episode.
5. Liaise with a wide range of staff caring for the patient, including Radiographers, Nurses, Radiologists, Consultants, and external departments.
6. Assist with audit projects as required.
7. Comply with Health & Safety policy, agreed policies and procedures of the Radiology Department, the local rules under IRMER (ionising radiation law), and the agreed policies and procedures of Spire Healthcare.
8. Maintain a high standard of cleanliness within the whole of the Radiology.
9. Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
10. Work as part of a team.
11. Have knowledge of Radiology systems (RIS, PACS, IEP, Patient Database).
