This is a very unique opportunity to make an impact by joining a growing, highly differentiated enterprise software and technology focused private equity firm.
You will work directly with and learn from both the Founder / Managing Partner and Managing Director of Norland Capital, and as the firm’s newest Associate you will have 3 main responsibilities to drive and manage:
1) Sourcing of investment opportunities
* You will expand on Norland Capital’s existing network of over 200 technology executives globally who are “friends of the firm” and on the 5,000+ target companies that we are already tracking by establishing and building new relationships primarily with C-level executives and business owners, as well as bankers and investment professionals
* You will invest in and are excited by the idea of learning new sourcing/business development technologies/tactics, seeking out solutions to break into hard-to-crack prospects, and working together with the team to continue to innovate and improve Norland’s sourcing engine
2) Deal execution
* Given we are a fast-growing firm, you will be expected to learn many broad deal skills and have the desire to grow and develop as a private equity professional by wearing many hats
* You will assist and help drive a deal across the full spectrum of all the key execution areas: offer letters, diligence, valuation, structuring, contract negotiations, and financing
3) Portfolio company support
* You will work closely with portfolio executives to support them through various value creation initiatives (e.g. recruiting, sales & marketing, M&A, post-merger integration, pricing analysis, etc.)
Qualifications:
* 3+ years of relevant experience in financial services (PE, Growth Equity, VC, Investment Banking, Consulting, Accounting / Transaction Services) and/or with technology companies
* Successful track-record of engaging and building relationships with senior executives
* Superior Microsoft Excel skills
* Comfortable to work remote
* Bachelor's degree
