An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Grade B or C fee earner within the Clinical Negligence Team at Admiral Law. This is a chance to be part of a growing department within a market-leading firm.
You will be responsible for running your own caseload of claimant clinical negligence cases from inception to settlement, ensuring the optimal outcome is achieved, whilst always acting in the best interests of your client. Exceptional client care skills are key, as well as good time management and organisational skills.
You will possess the experience to manage under supervision a caseload of up to 40 pre-action and litigated cases, varying in both value and complexity. You will be technically proficient and an excellent communicator. You will be committed to delivering a first-rate service to clients and will have a good knowledge of the clinical negligence pre-action protocol, multi-track litigation, and the CPR.
You will be supported in your role by a case assistant, and you are expected to delegate appropriate work to your assistant and provide guidance and feedback to them as appropriate to assist in their development. Part of your role will require you to assist the Grade A solicitors within the team with their high-value/more complex cases, including but not limited to attending conferences, drafting witness statements, and preparing court documents. The combination of having a caseload and assisting on more complex cases will require excellent time management skills and an ability to manage and prioritise tasks while always meeting clients’ expectations, court, and other deadlines.
