As a Lead Data Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in the day to day functions of the Online data team, acting as a mentor and supporting the team in enhancing the functionality of our data solution, including creating visualisations, reporting, analytics and sourcing new data streams. Working closely with the contact centre management team, you will help design, develop, and maintain sophisticated dashboards and reports that provide insightful analysis of our commercial operations and support decision-making across the business.
We foster a collaborative space that encourages innovation and creativity. We're seeking individuals who are eager to contribute to a team currently transforming Online data operations through automation and strategic data insights.
What you'll be doing:
1. Be the first point of escalation for the team to support and solutionise problems.
2. Critically review current and future solutions to suggest improvements and optimise processes.
3. Collaborate with stakeholders to interpret business needs and translate them into tangible analytical solutions.
4. Conduct ETL processes with precision, ensuring that data from various sources is accurately analysed and reported.
5. Perform data cleansing, validation, and quality checks to certify the reliability of reports.
6. Develop, maintain, and refine dashboards and reports using PowerBI to showcase KPIs, metrics, and trends.
7. Undertake analysis to uncover trends, patterns and opportunities for improving service levels and operational activities.
8. Propose and implement enhancements to current IT solutions to improve usability and efficiency.
9. Provide support and training to end-users, ensuring effective utilisation of PowerBI reports.
10. Stay abreast of the latest technical advancements and industry best practices to improve our reporting and analytics.
What we're looking for:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analysis, or a related field is preferred, but relevant experience in a corporate setting will be equally considered.
2. Expertise in developing interactive dashboards and reports, particularly with PowerBI.
3. Proficiency in SQL, Python, or similar languages for comprehensive data manipulation and analysis.
4. Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and data modelling techniques.
5. Familiarity with Databricks and Azure DevOps is highly desirable.
6. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail, without losing sight of the bigger picture.
7. Strong communication skills and proficiency in collaborating with cross-functional teams.
8. Ability to explain often complex data and concepts to non-technical audiences, honing in on key findings and being able to answer the "so what?" question succinctly and authoritatively.
9. Capable of working independently and managing a variety of tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
10. Experience within a contact centre environment is advantageous but not a prerequisite.
