We are looking for someone who is reliable, committed, dynamic, and a motivated professional with excellent communication, organisational skills and the ability to prioritise work.
Having experience of working in a community mental health environment would be useful, but not essential, you will need to be able to apply the philosophies of engagement and recovery within your work with service users.
The Acute Day service works with individuals struggling with their mental health on both a one to one basis and through therapeutic groups. The successful applicant would be expected to carry a small caseload and work collaboratively with their patients to achieve their recovery goals .
The post holder would also be actively involved in the facilitation of the Clozaril and Olanzapine clinics .
We will provide you with the appropriate training for this role which may include phlebotomy skills, DBT, CBT and motivational interviewing .
Training needs will be identified following recruitment and in line with the needs of the service .
To co-facilitate the Clozaril and Olanzapine clinic, utilising phlebotomy skills and carrying out physical health monitoring .
To work with a small caseload of patients to achieve their recovery goals utilising the appropriate therapeutic skills and approaches.
To facilitate skilled groups for a pre determined number of patients
To manage a small caseload of patients taking responsibility for the co ordination of their programme with the Acute Day Service identifying the groups and therapeutic skills that would meet their needs .
To actively participate in the Clozaril and Olanzapine clinics and physical monitoring and education of patients, liasing with their teams as required.
To take on the role of practise educator for student nurses and provide an effective learning environment for all students .
