Position Details: Role : Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant Location : Levenshulme, Manchester Start Date : October Duration : Full-time, until the end of the academic year (with potential to become permanent) Pay : £419.25 - £500 per week, depending on experience and qualifications Key Responsibilities: As a Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will support the Maths department in delivering engaging and effective lessons, working closely with teachers and students to enhance the learning experience. Your responsibilities will include: Supporting students in understanding mathematical concepts, both in the classroom and during one-on-one or small group sessions Assisting the classroom teacher in preparing lesson materials and resources Providing targeted support for students who may be struggling with certain topics or preparing for exams Helping to manage classroom behaviour, ensuring a productive and focused learning environment Marking work and providing feedback to students, helping them track their progress and develop their skills Supporting students in their revision and preparation for GCSE exams, helping them build confidence in their mathematical abilities Contributing to extracurricular Maths activities, such as clubs or competitions, to further engage students in the subject Collaborating with the Maths department and other teaching staff to ensure all students are progressing What We're Looking For: A recent graduate with a degree in Mathematics or a related subject A strong passion for Maths and the ability to inspire and engage young learners Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and accessible way A proactive and positive attitude towards supporting students of varying abilities Previous experience working with young people, particularly in an educational setting, is desirable but not essential Why This Role?
