In our Beaumont House Nursery in Twickenham, on excellent transport links, we are seeking an experienced Nursery Chef who is a skilled Chef wanting to join our team and create delicious culinary experiences for our children. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, a good awareness of nutrition and healthy eating, and ensure high standards of food safety and quality. The role is based on a 38 hr working week Monday to Friday with salary c£27k plus loads of great benefits.
Beaumont House Nursery is based in Twickenham High Street, part of CC Nurseries Group, a 92 place lovely nursery designed to spark curiosity and imagination. Each room is filled with hand-picked resources to encourage self-directed play and discovery, along with a love for the outdoors, where children have access to outdoor space at the rear of the nursery and regularly take trips to local green spots to enjoy fun in the fresh air! Requirements
As Nursery Chef, you will need to have:
1. Previous experience in a similar role;
2. Food & Hygiene Level Certificate Level 3 (or at least a level 2);
3. Proven experience as a Chef;
4. Cooking and preparing meals for 70 children;
5. Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food production, and culinary techniques;
6. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team;
7. Proficient in menu planning, recipe development, and cost control;
8. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices;
9. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail;
10. Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate with staff at all levels effectively.
