Software Project Manager Cambridge Hybrid 50,000 – 75,000 We are seeking an experienced Software Project Manager to lead development projects in an Agile environment, driving the delivery of engineering solutions. You will require previous experience in leading multidisciplinary engineering teams, leveraging previous managerial expertise in embedded software, test automation, and DevOps to meet business, schedule, cost, and quality objectives. Responsibilities: Plan projects from concept to manufacturing release using the gated PEP process, defining project structure and deliverables. Monitor scope, schedule, and cost through defined KPIs to ensure alignment. Track, report, and analyze project progress, implementing proactive problem-solving. Manage project finances, including forecasting and monthly reviews with finance partners. Align technical and non-technical teams to ensure cohesive delivery. Resolve challenges promptly, manage dependencies, and clearly communicate impacts of changes. Work with discipline leads to allocate resources effectively. Identify and manage risks and opportunities to master Estimate At Completion (EAC). Incorporate continuous improvement practices to enhance efficiency. Contribute to developing project management best practices in partnership with the Programme Manager.Experience: 5 years as a Software Project Manager handling multiple complex projects within an engineering company. Proven background in software development on electronics platforms, with knowledge of software development lifecycles and tools. Expertise in managing multi-disciplinary teams in dynamic, customer-driven environments. Proficient in Agile methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, and hosting ceremonies. Familiarity with project management tools such as Microsoft Project and Atlassian Jira. Financial acumen, including managing project costs and forecasting. Strong stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills. Passionate about quality and on-time delivery. Strong collaborative mindset and accountability. Bachelor’s degree in a STEM subject. Recognized certifications in Project Management and Agile methodologies Experience with scaled Agile frameworks and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
