Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Job Type: Full-time permanentWe are seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Burton upon Trent. This role is crucial for maintaining the optimal condition, operation, and testing of our electrical equipment ready for rental.
You will be instrumental in ensuring fleet/equipment availability, safety, and to high-quality standards.
Day-to-day of the role:
Electrical Maintenance: Conduct inspections and routine preventative maintenance on all rental fleet equipment's electrical systems. Develop and implement maintenance schedules to prevent equipment failures.
Repairs and Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues using advanced tools. Perform timely repairs to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
Documentation and Reporting: Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and calibrations.
Collaboration and Teamwork: Work closely with other engineers and departments to coordinate maintenance efforts and promote a cooperative work environment.
Technical Support and Training: Provide technical support and assist in developing training programs for engineers to enhance their electrical maintenance skills.
Inventory and Resource Management: Manage electrical components and tools inventory under the guidance of the Rental Workshop Supervisor.
Regulatory Compliance and Safety: Ensure all activities comply with safety standards and regulations. Conduct safety audits and risk assessments to mitigate potential hazards.This position is primarily based in a workshop setting but may involve occasional fieldwork to support on-site teams. Because of this you will need a full UK driving licence.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, preferably in a similar industry - Generators, External Power Supplies, Loadbanks and similar
Strong knowledge of electrical systems and fault-finding techniques.
Ability to develop and follow detailed maintenance schedules.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to perform under pressure.
Proficient in using fleet management systems for documentation and reporting.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.Benefits:
