We are hiring for a Senior Advanced Manufacturing Engineer - Test Engineering, whose primary responsibility will be to work closely with Technical Product Leaders, Product Design Engineers, Quality Assurance, & Lab Technicians to ensure that manufacturing test processes are appropriately validated to meet customer requirements. The role is based at our site in Gateshead. Job Role In this role the Senior Advanced Manufacturing Engineer - Test Engineering will be responsible for the following: Introduce new production test designs for medium to high volume production Collaborate cross-functionally to design and validate manufacturing test programs and processes to improve yield Develop automated test scripts for product Functional & EOL Tests, primarily using C# Design, build & deploy Production test platforms for manufacturing partners (HW & SW) Analyze and troubleshoot manufacturing test yield issues at EMS & Turntide Production sites Design and build internal test systems and production prototype equipment Drive towards better-integrated test solutions, code and HW reuse Provide DFT feedback for board and systems levels that are appropriate to their respective build phase Travel to manufacturing facilities to support test equipment deployment or updates Experience and Skills We’re looking for candidates with the following experience and skills: Experience designing & deploying manufacturing test solutions (HW, SW, Scripts, Data, Test Equipment Automation) C# programming (other software considered: LabView/C++/Python/Java/JS or similar) Understand Quality standards It would also be great (but not essential) if in addition to the above you also had: Working with Global manufacturing sites and suppliers Knowledge of in one or more of the following: Battery storage solutions / Battery Management Systems Power Electronics (Inverters, DCDCs, OBCs) Electric Machines (PMAC, Induction, SRM) Electric Pumps and Fans Qualifications A degree or equivalent in the following discipline is required: Motor Control, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Power Electronics or similar.
