BHRUT provide care for the residents of three of the most diverse London boroughs. More than half of our 7,500 strong workforces are from black, Asian and minority ethnic groups and most live in Barking and Dagenham, Havering and Redbridge. The post holder will be directly working to improve our waiting times for urgent and emergency care by providing timely diagnostic services to the Emergency department. The post holder will be responsible for the day-to-day running and development of the analyzers in the 'Hot' Lab in the emergency department at QH. The post holder will have an in-depth scientific knowledge of at least one Pathology discipline and will work with the clinical Leads, Blood sciences Senior BMS, and Leads and manage a small team of Associate Practitioners to ensure that all scientific, technical, and quality aspects of the urgent services in the Hot lab are maintained.
Main duties of the job
To perform technical work as required in a section of the laboratory under the supervision of senior BMS staff.

Person Specification
Education/ Qualifications
* State registration with the HCPC.
Experience/ Knowledge
* Proven post registration experience working in haematology/Immunology/ blood transfusion or equivalent experience.
* Experience in Haematology Blood Transfusion or Immunology.
* Experience in out of hours working in Blood Transfusion or Haematology.

Salary: £42,939 to £50,697 a year per annum inclusive.
