This role is vital for ensuring the integrity and sustainability of Cornwall FA's operations, providing assurance to the Board and stakeholders that risks are being managed effectively and that the organisation is operating within a robust control environment. The Audit and Risk Board Director will bring a rigorous, objective, and strategic approach to the organisation's audit and risk management activities.
Role Purpose:
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight for the audit and risk management functions of the organisation.
- Ensure the Board meets its obligations, regulations, and responsibilities in these areas.
- Chair the audit and risk committee and advance the performance and security of the organisation.
- Collaborate with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and other Board members to align audit and risk management strategies with the overall goals of the organisation.
- Operate as a Director of the Company.
- Oversee the affairs of the organisation.
- Ensure the company meets its legal, regulatory, and fiduciary responsibilities.
- Promote the success of the company in accordance with its constitution and objectives.
- Act in the best interests of the company and its members.
- Act as an ambassador for the organisation.
