Position Overview:
As we embark on our second year as Presence & Co., we are seeking a passionate and driven individual to join us as a General Technician. This is a unique opportunity to work with a growing team of 25 skilled technicians, including electricians, joiners, painters & decorators, landscapers, general technicians, and subcontractors from various trades. Your support will play a crucial role in setting the benchmark for excellence and supporting our ambitious growth targets for 2025 and beyond.
Job Summary:
We are looking for a fully qualified electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in both domestic and commercial electrical work and will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment. You will also be expected to perform electrical inspections, diagnostics, and complete necessary documentation as required by NAPIT guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Electrical Installations: Install, test, and maintain electrical systems in accordance with the latest wiring regulations and NAPIT standards.
2. Repairs & Maintenance: Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults in both domestic and commercial properties. Conduct inspections and provide clients with solutions for electrical issues.
3. Electrical Testing & Certification: Perform EICRs (Electrical Installation Condition Reports), PAT testing, and other electrical testing services. Issue certificates and reports in compliance with the regulations.
4. Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all electrical work is completed in line with current regulations, health and safety requirements, and NAPIT standards.
5. Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to clients, including explaining electrical issues and solutions in a clear and professional manner.
6. Documentation: Complete all necessary paperwork, including certificates, reports, and compliance documentation, and ensure accurate record-keeping.
7. Ongoing Learning: Keep up-to-date with industry standards, legislation, and best practices to ensure continuous professional development.
Requirements:
1. 5 + years of building works and maintenance experience.
2. Proven project management experience.
3. Proficiency in IT and computer applications.
4. A customer-focused mindset with a passion for excellence in service delivery.
5. Exceptional communication skills, with an ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
6. Strong knowledge of electrical systems and regulations.

Qualifications:
1. NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent).
2. 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations (current).
3. ECS (Electrotechnical Certification Scheme) card holder.
4. NAPIT membership or willingness to join.
5. City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent qualification in inspection and testing (preferred).
Desirable Attributes:
1. Experience with renewable energy systems (e.g., solar panels, EV chargers).
2. Previous experience with managing client relationships and customer service.
3. Ability to mentor or train junior electricians.
Package: £42,500
