Families First Programme Manager 12-month fixed term contract to start April 2025 East Midlands £50788- £52805 (FTE) Remote working 3 days per week CV's are being reviewed immediately and interviews will be taking place week commencing 31st March. Reporting into the Head of Children’s Social Care, the purpose of the role is to coordinate, develop and deliver the Families First Programme and associated projects, to ensure the development and enhancement of existing social care services and family support provision. Your Role as Families First Programme Manager: To oversee the development of the Families First Programme in conjunction with the Head of Service acting as a member of the project group and Steering group and reporting within agreed corporate Project Management Office (PMO) project management processes and procedures. To produce business proposals ensuring comprehensive and robust presentation of information to ensure effective articulation of the specific piece of work. To support the delivery of reforms with analysis of needs assessment and strategic mapping of services, supporting to engage partners and stakeholders in a programme of change To provide guidance and support, research, performance management and other cross cutting areas of work that are relevant and significant to the transformation of children’s services, to identify, understand and overcome problems at any stage/critical milestone of the programme and minimise any timescale or budget disruption This will require working closely with key partnerships including Health, Police and the voluntary and community sector You will need to engage with a wide variety of stakeholders, co-ordinate internal stakeholders and liaise with community representatives and external partners, including the voluntary and charitable sector (VCS) The role will provide the day-to-day coordination and management of the project, using the most appropriate methodologies and approaches that meet the needs of the project and to ensure their success The role will work closely with senior managers within Children’s Services, across Council services and external partners reporting on progress of the delivery plan to governing boards and government departments Your previous experience as Families First Programme Manager: Experience of managing or advising on strategic Early Help, Social Care, and Inclusion or education services Excellent knowledge of programme management techniques and the use of project management methodologies Experience of managing both internal and external multi- disciplinary teams and working across disciplines in Early Help, social care or in an education context Experience of creating and delivering written and oral presentations for senior managers/boards Experience and evidence of managing large projects within budget and within timescale Be confident working at pace Lead on the development and implementation If you’re interested in discussing this opportunity in more detail or know someone who this may be of interest to, please contact Sarah Macrae on 0117 3137110 or apply today.
