What's involved with this role: Temporary HEART Responder Job Ref: Doncaster 0009 85F2 / 1 Pay Rate: £11.44 per hour PAYE Hours per week: 26.50 Monday – Friday, 14:00 - 22:00 Role Length: This opening assignment is for 2 months City: DONCASTER Enhanced DBS disclosure required This role is working on a rota basis with an average of 26.25 hours per week currently 3 on 3 off, predominantly day shifts covering 6am to 2pm and afters shift (2pm to 10pm) both with a 30 minute unpaid break, initially you will be mentored/trained but will then work alone responding to alarm activations using appropriate equipment to facilitate safe manual handling of people in their own homes. At present the team of ATO's install assistive technology equipment in people's homes after a period of training/mentoring, this is also a role completed alone. Ensuring residents within the Doncaster Borough have access to the Home Alarm Service. Key Responsibilities: Work flexibly on a rota basis to meet the operational demands of the service to ensure that the service can operate 24hrs a day 7 days a week including bank holidays. Follow safeguarding, moving and handling, health and safety and customer care principles and procedures at all times. Use of various IT systems to support the installation, maintenance of equipment and responding to the alarm activations Following telecare alarm activations, to provide an emergency response in the customers home in order to establish the status of the customer and act accordingly to findings. Work independently to install, test, maintain and disconnect assistive technology equipment within customer homes and designated properties. Qualifications: QCF level 2 or a relevant Social Care qualification English fluency duty under the Immigration Act 2016 - As you are applying for a customer facing role, you must have the ability to converse easily with customers and provide advice/guidance in accurate spoken English Valid driving licence required, travelling around the borough is essential for the role Knowledge: Knowledge of the following: Dementia, Safeguarding Adults, Health and Safety The understanding of multi-disciplinary working .An understanding of the physical, social and emotional needs of the service users. Experience: Experience of working with Adults in a health and social care environment. Skills & Abilities: Good verbal communication skills and the ability to write legible daily reports, and assess risks and individuals abilities.
