Job Description: As a Principal Structural Engineer, you would join a team of Structural Engineers and Technicians working within their modern, multi-disciplinary office in Leeds (within walking distance of the train station).
At any one time, you may be responsible for a number of projects, all at different stages, simultaneously. The types of projects you would become involved with are certainly varied and include retail, leisure, education, residential, and commercial projects.
The Client work ranges from local and national developers and contractors to major private sector companies. Their expanding team will encourage career progression for the right person. While their experience in depth and breadth fosters a culture of professionalism with flair.
Person Specification: A Chartered Engineer status is desirable, preferably IStructE, but experience and knowledge are key.
You should possess a broad range of engineering skills and be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of current codes of practice both British Standards and Euro-codes working in all the main construction materials.
You will be strong technically with an emphasis on early-stage design concepts and be able to interact and communicate effectively with internal and external design teams from concept design through to construction.
Skills and attributes such as problem-solving, communication, personal organisation, team-working skills, and the ability to work under pressure are also highly desired.

Salary: £48,000 - £57,000 + Car Allowance, Healthcare benefits, generous annual leave, and company vehicle where applicable. Free parking.
