Will promote excellence in patient care through development and co-ordination of aspects of staff education, preceptorship programme training and development for postgraduate education provision in Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board (CTMUHB).
On behalf of the Care Group Management Team, will co-ordinate education provision for all postgraduate registered and unregistered nursing staff, contributing to the development and achievement of the Care Group objectives.
Will have a pivotal role in ensuring the provision of quality care services offered to patients through collaborative working with the wider team, providing educational support and assessment where required.
THIS POST IS FIXED TERM FOR UPTO 12 MONTHS DUE TO MEET THE NEEDS OF THE SERVICE
Plan and develop an education framework and practice education activities; some of which will be ongoing within the Directorate, encompassing the regulatory body requirements of the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
Re-arrange or make adjustments to plans based on clinical need, aligning this programme to CTMUHB’s inter-professional Education Strategy which will require the co-operation of the multi-professional team within Primary Care.
Co-ordinate the development and local implementation of the UHB’s clinical skills provision, which will involve communicating practice and educational information within the NHS and other Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) as necessary.
Work in conjunction with inter-disciplinary colleagues participating in the Clinical Audit and skills provision.
