Due to continued growth, our client is seeking an experienced Acoustic Applications Engineer to join their expert team. Role Overview As an Acoustic Applications Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing and optimising noise-reduction solutions for generator systems, ensuring they meet stringent performance and compliance standards. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate acoustic considerations into the manufacturing process, ensuring robust and effective solutions for clients. Key Responsibilities: Acoustic Design & Airflow Analysis : Develop noise-reduction solutions for generator systems and enclosures, ensuring compliance with industry noise standards. Project Collaboration : Work alongside design, fabrication, and fit-out teams to integrate acoustics into the manufacturing processes. Generator Expertise : Use knowledge of generator systems to address acoustic challenges and optimize performance. Testing & Validation : Conduct on-site acoustic testing and analyze results to provide recommendations for improvement. Client Engagement : Work directly with clients to understand their acoustic needs and deliver tailored solutions. Regulatory Compliance : Stay up-to-date with ISO and BS noise regulations, ensuring all designs are compliant. Estimating : Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, equipment, labor, and sub-contract services. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience in acoustic engineering, particularly within power generation or related industries. Knowledge of generator systems and their operational dynamics is advantageous. Proficiency in acoustic modeling software (e.g., SoundPLAN, CadnaA) and measurement tools is desirable. Strong understanding of industry noise control regulations and standards. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in complex engineering challenges.
